Aqara Indoor Battery Powered Air Quality Monitor requires an AQARA HUB and is used to measure volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which are a large and diverse group of chemical compounds that can become air pollutants.
These harmful VOCs can evaporate under normal indoor atmospheric conditions and are found in everyday consumer products such as air fresheners and cleaners.
The Aqara TVOC sensor can connect to the hub controller, and changes in the concentration or level of VOCs, temperature and humidity can be used as automation conditions to work with smart home devices.
This allows for the implementation of various smart scenarios and messages can be sent to your mobile phone.
The monitor also features a high-contrast E Ink screen and supports HomeKit, Google, Alexa and IFTTT.
